Leadership

Chris Truett has been Pastor of Bethel Church in Kinston, NC since
January 27, 2013 following the death of Rev. Archie Ratliff in December
of 2012.   Previous to his appointment as Pastor, Chris served as
Worship & Executive Pastor for Bethel Church since 1997. Prior to
serving at Bethel Church, he served for three years at Unity FWB
Church in Grenville, NC.
 
Chris has been actively involved in the Free Will Baptist denomination
as he served as the Chairman of FWB Music Commission and was
the Music Coordinator for the annual Free Will Baptist National
Convention from 2004-2013.  He has served in numerous roles in the
Palmer Association, current NCFWB Moderator, and
a current Welch College Board Trustee.

Chad Donoho has served as the Music and Worship Pastor since 2015, and oversees the audio visual teams, media and communications, and the Bethel TV Ministry on Fox/WCTI.  He and his wife, Jenny, have been married 23 years and have three children, Anna, Luke and Emma. Anna and Luke are at Welch College and Emma is a Sophomore at BCA. Chad is a graduate of Welch and had been in ministry for 26 years.

Brandon Justice is originally from Greenville, N.C. He has served as the Children's & Discipleship Pastor since April 2025, and also served as the Children's Pastor at Wellington FWB Church in Wellington Kansas for seven years. He graduated from Welch College in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Youth Ministry. He and his wife Elizabeth were married on December 31st, 2018. They have 3 boys Greyson, Judah, and Lucas.

Been in Ministry since 2012. Served in music at two churches and athletics in two christian schools. Mount Calvary and Trinity
Graduated from Southeastern FWB College in 2012 with a BA in Music Education
Married to Katelyn Stocks since 2012 and have 3 kids (Jane and Finnley and Tanner)

Joey Postlewaite has been at Bethel for just a few months and has been an excellent addition to our staff. Joey is married to his wife, Katie, and they have two daughters, Kimberly and Khloe. Before coming to Bethel, Joey was the lead pastor at Westside FWB church in Johnsonville S.C.  Joey graduated from Welch College with a degree in Pastoral Ministry and has a Master of Divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. 

Doug Phillips is the Principal at Bethel Christian Academy and has served the church and school since 2011. He and his wife, Kathy, have been married for 41 years and have three grown children along with 4 grandchildren. Doug has been in Christian ministry for 41 years. 

Greg Fordham is the Chief Financial Officer at Bethel and has served the church since 1998. He and his wife, Bernice, have been married 40 years. They have two grown children and six grandchildren.
